Venue Spotlight: Tellus360

If you live in or around Lancaster, chances are you've heard of Tellus360. Maybe you've stopped in to grab a beer or a bite. Maybe you've enjoyed a concert there. Maybe you remember when it was a retail store selling furniture made from reused wood.

Tellus360 has made a name for itself in downtown Lancaster, and for good reason. The food is delicious, the beer and whiskey selection is extensive, and the entertainment is top-notch. But Tellus360 is more than just an Irish pub and music venue. They've got a heart for the community and a creative soul at the root of all they do.

In their own words, Tellus360 is:

...where live music, farm-fresh food, and heaps of fun all come together; have a beer and catch up with each other – all under one green roof. We are productive, storytelling, life-living, loving, creative, and happy people who believe in a simple, community-driven life where everyone is equal, where anything is possible, and where life is good for all at the expense of none. We are learning constantly, questioning always, and are actively pursuing better ways of doing things in a continuous quest to find the simplest way of doing everything we do. In short: We desire Tellus360 to be a comfortable place to enjoy food, drink, music, culture, and community.

What an inspiring vision! Not only is the mission of Tellus360 beautiful, so is their space. Creativity practically oozes from their walls. Did you know much of the interior of Tellus360 is made up of upcycled materials? Here's just a taste:

  • 100-year-old antique bar imported from the County Waterford in Ireland
  • 200-year-old doors behind the bar from the old St. Michael’s & St. John’s Catholic Church in Dublin
  • Chandeliers fashioned from Jack Daniels whiskey barrels
  • Decorative reclaimed wood accents
  • Stage that has toured with Maroon 5, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Elton John and Billy Joel, Josh Groban, Lady Gaga, and Ozzy/Black Sabbath
  • Sound equipment that has toured with U2 and AC/DC
  • Backdrop curtains that have traveled the world with Atomic Design

To top it all off (literally) Tellus360 has a Green Roof! The roof collects and absorbs rainwater as part of downtown Lancaster’s ongoing goal of reducing stormwater run-off. Plus the Rooftop has been recently renovated with expanded seating, bar area, urban garden, grass (yes, grass!), and a fantastic view of the city.

We are thrilled to partner with Tellus360 for THREE markets this Fall, starting with our first Maker's Market on September 9th. Visit our Events tab for more info and follow us on Instagram and Facebook for exciting updates. See you at Tellus360 on September 9th!
